Suggested
Uses for Our Video & DVD Programs
These suggestions are based on information we've received from
sources that include: activity directors; nurses and therapists; caregivers for older
adults; and relatives and friends of persons with brain injuries or other impairments. Our
programs can help to:
Provide general relaxation and
stress relief. That quality makes them useful among people who are ill or depressed;
patients with Alzheimer's or other dementias; or those who need pain management or
chronic-pain mitigation.
Provide quiet entertainment, stress relief, anger
management and diversion among Alzheimer's patients.
Bring about socialization among hesitant nursing-home and
assisted-living residents.
Offer bedside viewing for
clients who can't come to a common area.
Prompt conversation in discussion groups. Also excellent
for poetry and writing groups.
Promote conversation or interaction when volunteers or
staff work one-on-one with clients.
Provide relaxing entertainment in nursing alcoves, lounges
and other healthcare environments.
Support speech therapy or stimulate sensory perception.
